KS1 Teaching Assistant

The Role:
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you’ll work with teachers to support pupils in their early years of education. You will help deliver engaging lessons, assist with small group activities, and provide one-to-one support where needed. Your role will involve nurturing pupils’ confidence, helping them develop basic literacy and numeracy skills, and creating a positive learning environment.

The Candidate:
You should have a degree in any subject and a genuine interest in early years education. Strong communication skills and patience are essential, along with the ability to engage young children in their learning. Experience in a school, nursery, or working with children in any capacity will be an advantage.

Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or higher in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – A strong interest in supporting young learners and pursuing a career in education.
  • Experience working with children – Any previous experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering with young people.
