Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated KS1 Teacher for a primary school in SE18, Greenwich. The role starts October 2026 on a temporary contract with potential for extension or permanent appointment.

Location is Greenwich, SE18. Working hours are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only, with responsibilities including planning, delivery, and assessment of KS1 curriculum and parental engagement.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year EYFS or KS1 teaching experience in the UK.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year.

Responsibilities

• Class Teacher - KS1 responsibilities include planning, preparation and marking.
• Conduct parents evenings and maintain effective communication with families.
• Support pupil wellbeing and behaviour in line with school policies.

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher for a Primary school in SE18, Greenwich.

The position is open to experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year EYFS or KS1 teaching experience in the UK
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
