Job description

We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and committed team. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), this is a fantastic opportunity to shape young minds during a vital stage in their education journey.

You’ll play a key role in developing core skills, building confidence, and laying strong foundations for lifelong learning in a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a warm and inclusive classroom environment that supports both academic and personal growth.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform your teaching.
  • Support early phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers.
  • Contribute to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and events.
Ideal KS1 Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A good understanding of the KS1 curriculum, including phonics (e.g. Little Wandle, Read Write Inc).
  • A passion for nurturing early learning and child development.
  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills as a KS1 Teacher.
  • A reflective, patient, and adaptable approach to teaching.
