GSL Education are seeking a passionate KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming school in Barnsley. As a KS1 Teacher, this is a wonderful chance to play a key role in a nurturing learning environment, supporting every child to achieve their full potential.

As a KS1 Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress in line with curriculum expectations.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support pupil development.
  • Maintaining high standards of behaviour and safeguarding within the classroom.

To be successful in this role of KS1 Teacher, you should:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have prior experience teaching within KS1.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
  • Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
