Are you a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity?

GSL Education are looking for a kind and friendly KS1 Teacher to work in a lovely primary school in Barnsley. We want someone who enjoys helping young children learn and grow in a safe and happy classroom. You should be patient, caring, and able to make learning fun.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative and engaging lessons tailored to KS1 pupils.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued.
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, and social development through effective teaching strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, SEN staff, and senior leaders to meet pupils' needs.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing targeted support and feedback.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and the wider school community.
  • Encourage a love of learning through interactive and inspiring teaching methods.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience working within the classroom or specialisation in KS1 curriculum.
  • A creative and engaging approach to teaching.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence.
  • Commitment to student development, well-being, and safeguarding.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
  • Have anupdated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps)and anenhanced DBSregistered to theUpdate Service(or be willing to apply for one).
  • A good daily rate, that recognises what you bring.
