KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Hackney

An inclusive and nurturing primary school in Hackney is looking for an experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team. This long-term, full-time role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the learning and development of pupils in Key Stage 1.

The Role:

  • Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Hackney, London
  • Start: September, 2025
  • Contract: Full-Time / Long-Term
  • Salary: £102–£110 per day (dependent on experience)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with additional learning needs.
  • Adapt class activities and materials to ensure accessibility and engagement for all learners.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions.
  • Foster emotional well-being, positive behaviour, and confidence in young pupils.
  • Help maintain a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
