The role

As the SEN Teacher, you will be the main class teacher. You will have comprehensive knowledge, understanding, and experience of working with children with SEN and those on the autism spectrum from previous roles, and have a true passion for supporting pupils to succeed in all areas of learning.

There is an experienced team of teachers and support staff within the school, and you will have access to a range of training and collaboration to develop your teaching practice. You will also be supported by external agencies within Barnet.

The School

The school is an OFSTED-rated Outstanding SEN School in Barnet. It caters for over 150 students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. It is an all-through school across two sites.

The school is looking for teachers who:

  • Have SEND experience
  • Are dedicated to the welfare, safeguarding, and progress of every child
  • Are committed to providing outstanding learning experiences to develop communication and independence skills
  • Can remain calm and supportive under pressure
  • Can lead a team of TAs to successfully support pupil needs
  • Are passionate, creative, and have excellent communication skills
