Job summary

Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool, is recruiting a KS1 Autism Support Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with ASC.

This full-time role is for the remainder of the academic year, with potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate. You will support learning, communication, and emotional regulation throughout the school day, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.

• Experience working with children in a school, nursery, care, or support setting.
• Knowledge or experience of supporting children with Autism is desirable.
• Patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Blackpool to recruit a dedicated KS1 Autism Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 1.

This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, offering the opportunity to build a strong relationship with the child and make a genuine impact on their educational and personal development. For the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent.
