KS1 SEN/ Mental Health Assistant - Maldon, Essex

Education and Training

Position Details:

  1. Long term contract until July 2025
  2. Permanent contract from August 2025
  3. Maldon, Essex
  4. £83-£100 per day (weekly pay)
  5. Teacher training available for the suitable candidate
  6. Special Education Needs
  7. Graduates are welcome to apply
  8. Immediate start

Academics are working with a ‘good’ school in Maldon, Essex. This is a long-term role commencing as soon as possible, until July 2025. A permanent role from August 2025 will be available for the right candidate. The school also offers teacher training which would be carried on site and would allow you to earn a wage while working towards your QTS.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Attend to pupils’ personal needs and implement related personal programmes (must be comfortable taking both girls and boys to the toilet).
  2. Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities.
  3. Build and maintain successful relationships with students, whilst treating them with respect and consideration.
  4. Have the highest expectation that every student will make sustained academic and personal progress.
  5. Ensure that every pupil is ready for the next steps in their learning and is supported to participate and contribute.
