KS1 Science and Computing Lead Teacher Responsibilities
  • Lead, inspire, and support the KS1 team, promoting high standards of teaching and learning in KS1.
  • Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans for KS1 students that engage and challenge.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Key Stage 1 curriculum, ensuring it meets the needs of all students in KS1.
  • Monitor and assess student progress in KS1, providing targeted feedback and interventions to support achievement.
  • Develop and lead staff training and professional development opportunities within KS1, focusing on Science and Computing.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment in KS1 that promotes high expectations and a love of learning.
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, providing updates on student progress in KS1 and addressing any concerns.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and collaborate with other leadership team members to drive school improvement across KS1.
KS1 Science and Computing Lead Teacher Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Significant experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes in KS1.
  • Experience in a leadership role or with leading teams is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment methods for KS1.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others in a KS1 setting.
  • A passionate leader who is committed to fostering an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment in KS1.
  • A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to leadership and school improvement within KS1.
