Job Title: KS1 Primary Teacher
Type: Maternity cover for the 2025-26 academic year
Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
Location: Kempston, Bedford

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity in Kempston?

Tradewind are working closely with a mainstream primary school in Bedford who are looking to appoint a passionate KS1 teacher to cover maternity leave from September 2025.

This is a full-time role within a well-established and friendly team who are committed to providing a nurturing, high-quality learning environment for every child.

You'll be teaching a delightful Key Stage 1 class with a mix of eager learners and bright personalities, supported by experienced TAs and a proactive leadership team.

Our partner school are looking for a teacher who can really immerse themselves in the school community and become a key player in their future success.

All teachers are given Friday afternoon to complete marking and planning as part of their PPA.

Classes are yet to be allocated so there may be the option to teach in your preferred KS1 class.

As the KS1 Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum

  • Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and independence

  • Use a range of strategies to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEN or EAL

  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback to pupils and parents

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community
