Teach Plus are working with a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest that is looking to appoint a dedicated Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to join its team from January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate primary teacher who can create an engaging classroom environment, deliver high-quality lessons and support pupils during a crucial stage of their education.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification is essential.
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting is required.
• Knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Strong lesson planning, assessment and classroom management skills.
• Ability to differentiate learning to support a range of abilities.
• A positive, nurturing and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
• Adapt teaching to meet pupils' individual learning needs.
• Assess and monitor progress, identifying areas for development.
• Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.
• Establish clear expectations and manage behaviour effectively.
• Support pupils' literacy, numeracy and wider development.
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues.
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers where appropriate.
