Teaching & Learning Responsibility (TLR):
- Act as the focal point for the RSL, working to create change for children and young people: meet with the RSL and Core Team, attend conferences, and stay updated with PiXL strategies and resources.
- Work with staff to identify relevant children, set a WIG and lead measures.
- Meet regularly with class teachers to review progress against the WIG and lead measures.
- Communicate a clear moral purpose and articulate a Wildly Important Goal (WIG) understood by staff, pupils, families, and governors.
- Collaborate with year teams to ensure interventions and actions are implemented smoothly, removing barriers to learning.
- Help staff find ‘lead measures’ to focus their efforts effectively.
- Analyze historical data to identify strengths and areas for improvement to enhance life chances and outcomes.
- Review data and predictions to support understanding of gaps and issues, such as attendance, pupil premium, and prior attainment.
- Be fully familiar with our strategies and resources, guiding others in their effective implementation, and adapting them to the school context.
- Create a culture of positive support and encouragement among staff and pupils, motivating through presentations and innovation.
- Attend national conferences as appropriate with the RSL.
Education and Training:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- A degree at a 2:2 or higher
- Evidence of Right to Work in the UK
Experience:
- At least two years’ experience in a primary educational setting, including successful passing of ECT induction
- Experience using PiXL or other data systems to demonstrate impact
- Experience developing and/or leading a CPD session for teachers
Knowledge and Understanding:
- Secure knowledge of safeguarding and 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' requirements
- Secure knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and how adults meet children’s needs with SEND
- Confident digital/e-safety knowledge
- Full knowledge of EYFS and National Curriculums, and how to map out a school curriculum sequentially
