Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a KS1 Primary Teacher and Phase Leader for a Wimbledon-based school (SW17). The role combines class teaching with phase leadership responsibilities, starting January 2027 and lasting until July 2027 with a temporary contract.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent, UK teaching experience of at least one year, and Phase Leader experience, plus safeguarding training within the last year. The role is full-time, 8:30 to 4, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Primary Teacher for a Primary school in Wimbledon, SW17.

The school is a popular mainstream Primary School with a supportive senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.

The position is open to both NQT's and experienced teachers. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year teaching experience in the UK
• Phase Leader experiance
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
