  • Monitor student progress across KS1, ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential.
  • Provide leadership in the development of teaching strategies, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across KS1.
  • Lead staff training and professional development within KS1, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, sharing progress updates and working together to support children’s development.
  • Be an active part of the school leadership team, contributing to school-wide planning, initiatives, and development.
  • Lead school-wide initiatives related to KS1, playing a vital role in the school’s growth and improvement.
KS1 Lead Teacher Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in KS1, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes.
  • Previous leadership experience or the ability to lead a team effectively is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1 and knowledge of effective assessment practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff and students alike.
  • A passion for developing young learners and creating an environment where they can thrive.
