A leading education provider in the UK is seeking a part-time Numeracy & Literacy Tutor to work with KS1/KS2 students. The successful candidate will engage with vulnerable and disengaged learners, providing personalized and enjoyable lessons. This is a flexible role requiring creativity, patience, and a passion for education, with an hourly rate starting at £25.

Qualifications

  • Experience in UK classroom teaching preferred but not essential.
  • Willingness to provide personalized, enjoyable lessons.
  • Ability to create and deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tuition to KS1/KS2 students in a flexible and nurturing manner.

Overview

Prospero teaching is currently looking for a tutor experienced in providing tuition to KS1/KS2 students, using a flexible creative and nurturing approach. You will be making a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at risk students in the early years of their educational journey. The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1 to 1 basis.

It is Prospero's mission to deliver high quality and engaging support to young people across the UK. As such, we are looking for a tutor who can offer personalized, enjoyable lessons whilst being re-engage these students into education and bring structure into their daily routine.

  • Hours - Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
