Graduate needed for a role as a Key stage 1 & 2 Teaching Assistant

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to kick start their career in education. A welcoming Primary school based in Southampton is currently looking for a teaching assistant to support the children in Key Stage 1 or 2.

The Primary school in Southampton is looking for bright and enthusiastic graduates who are energetic and passionate about their input into a child's education. The graduate appointed will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within Key Stages 1 and 2 and the teaching assistant's primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with teachers to facilitate lesson delivery and classroom activities as a Teaching Assistant.

• Offer one-on-one or small group assistance to students, following teacher directives.

• Aid in the preparation of learning materials and resources in your role as a Teaching Assistant.

• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment, contributing to its maintenance.

• Cultivate positive relationships with students and provide support for their social and emotional development as a Teaching Assistant.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

• A genuine passion for education and a commitment to the well-being of students.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic educational setting.

• The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
