Job summary

Meryfield Primary School is seeking a creative and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team in Borehamwood. You will work closely with pupils, supporting classroom learning and pastoral care while contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

We offer opportunities for training and career development within the school. The role involves 32.5 hours per week with negotiable timings for the right candidate, as we work to provide excellent provision for our pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working in schools is essential.
• Ability to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Strong team player with effective written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom learning and pastoral duties.
• Deliver small group or individual intervention programmes.
• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs.
• Assist with safeguarding and well-being of pupils as part of the school team.

You should be well -organised, patient, understanding and flexible with effective written and oral communication.

The successful applicant will have experience working within schools and provide a range of support including: classroom learning and pastoral support, supporting SEN pupils, delivery of small group or individual intervention programmes, 1:1 support with pupils with additional needs.

This position is for 32.5 hours per week and the timings could be negotiable for the right candidate.
