Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking passionate Primary Tutors to provide personalised learning support for KS1-2 students in Leeds. Sessions are face-to-face, in schools, homes or community spaces, with flexible hours Monday to Friday.

The role requires expertise in one or more subjects, prior tutoring or teaching experience, and strong communication skills to tailor sessions and monitor progress. DBS checks are standard for safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in one or more academic subjects (e.g., Math, Science, English).
• Prior experience in tutoring or teaching.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to teach in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions, in person.
• Build strong relationships with pupils.
• Be supportive and understanding and non-judgemental.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Assist with homework, exam preparation, and skill development.
• Track and report student progress to parents and/or teachers.
• Create a safe, positive, engaging learning environment.
