Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil in Beaminster from October/November 2026. This role is temporary with potential for permanent opportunities within a welcoming school community.

The successful candidate will provide focused 1:1 support, assist learning and development, and collaborate with the class teacher to foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. DBS checks and safeguarding training are supported.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in an educational or similar setting.
• Experience supporting children on a 1:1 basis preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil.
• Support pupil learning, engagement and development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and support team.
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Adapt activities to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
• Build trust and contribute to the wider school community when required.
