Job summary

Stratospherec Ltd is seeking a Kotlin Developer to join its mobile fintech team in Fareham. You will develop and maintain Android apps using Kotlin, delivering secure, high-quality features for real customers in a fast-paced fintech environment.

You will work with Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to deliver new features, while applying AI tools to improve development workflow and product capabilities. This role offers the chance to influence architectural decisions and raise the bar on quality

Kotlin Developer - Mobile Fintech Apps

Location: Fareham, Hampshire

Salary: £40,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience)

Stratospherec is working with an innovative Fintech business looking for an experienced Kotlin Developer to join its growing mobile development team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys building high-quality mobile applications and wants to work on products used by real customers in a fast-moving Fintech environment.

You’ll play a key role in developing Android applications using Kotlin, while also using AI tools and technologies to improve your development workflow, productivity and software delivery.

The role

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin
• Build secure, scalable and high-quality mobile payment features
• Use AI tools and technologies within your software development workflow
• Work with Product, UX/UI and Backend teams to deliver new features
• Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Investigate and resolve technical issues
• Identify opportunities to use AI to improve development processes and product capabilities

What we're looking for

• Commercial experience developing Android applications using Kotlin
• Proven experience building and delivering mobile applications
• Practical experience using AI within your software development role
• Good understanding of Android development principles and mobile architecture
• Experience working with APIs and backend services
• Strong understanding of software development, testing and version control
• Experience working within an Agile development environment
• A strong focus on quality, security and user experience

Experience with native iOS development using Swift would be highly desirable, but is not essential.

Experience within payments, fintech or another highly regulated environment would also be advantageous but not essential.
