Job summary

Mercor is seeking a meticulous native Korean annotator to build training data for Korean documents, among others. You will verify each page for legibility, completeness, and content accuracy, then create structured maps with precise reading order.

You will bound regions, transcribe exactly in Hangul, and capture metadata. A second Korean expert reviews every task to ensure high quality and consistency.

Qualifications

• Korean language fluency required for annotation and transcription.
• Experience in bilingual transcription, editorial work, or AI training data is preferred.
• Character-level accuracy is essential and a single wrong jamo is a defect.

Responsibilities

• Open and check a task to confirm Korean content and legibility.
• Annotate structure by bounding every meaningful region and assign type and reading order.
• Record relationships by linking regions to their parent figure or table.
• Transcribe faithfully in Hangul, including any hanja or handwritten content.
• Capture page metadata: language, document type, source, dimensions, and flags.
• Review work with a second Korean expert for end-to-end quality.
