Knowledge Exchange Manager
Application Deadline: 13 June 2025
Department: Innovation and Knowledge Exchange Centre
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Bath, Somerset - Newton Park
Compensation: GBP 38,249 - GBP 42,882 / year
Description
Join Bath Spa University as our new Knowledge Exchange Manager. This is an exciting opportunity in our Centre for Innovation and Knowledge Exchange where you will be providing senior operational support for our KE objectives, leading on developing our university staff consultancy scheme, and offering specialist advice and knowledge to grow our KE culture.
About the Role
This is a pivotal role at the heart of Bath Spa University's Knowledge Exchange (KE) ambitions - driving collaboration, innovation, and real-world impact. You'll lead dynamic internal networks, bringing together School-based KE Leads to embed our strategy consistently across the institution. Externally, you'll build and strengthen partnerships with businesses, cultural organisations, and strategic networks, creating opportunities for knowledge sharing, consultancy, and relationship building within our communities.
You'll manage high-value, high-impact KE projects - from shaping our staff consultancy offer to increasing the use of our specialist facilities by external organisations. You'll coordinate delivery across a skilled team, ensuring projects are aligned with institutional priorities and delivered efficiently.
Working closely with the Research Support Office, you'll help grow our income, deepen our public engagement, and boost collaboration between academics and external partners. You'll also play a key role in ensuring we meet national reporting requirements and enhance our performance in key frameworks such as KEF and HEIF.
The role is also about building long-term capacity - you'll lead on training and development to empower colleagues across academic and professional services roles to engage confidently with KE. By designing resources, delivering expert advice, and promoting good practice, you'll help embed a culture of collaboration, creativity, and external engagement.
This is a leadership role that calls for vision, initiative and a solutions-focused mindset. You'll spot challenges and turn them into opportunities, drawing on data and insight to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement. And as a key ambassador for the university's KE work, you'll represent us at national events and external forums - ensuring we're well connected and forward thinking in everything we do.
