Overview

A skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist, registered with HCPC, is sought to join the CAMHS OT and AHP team to work with children and young people aged 0-18 years, in a community setting within Grampian. The post holder will be based at the Links unit, City Hospital, Aberdeen as part of a multidisciplinary team in CAMHS. This post will primarily serve families living in Aberdeenshire.

Responsibilities

Support the continued development of the OT service within CAMHS. The post will offer opportunities to increase skills and will include general mental health assessment and treatment within the CAPA model. The CAMHS team has a broad range of skills and knowledge, encompassing profession-specific and other modalities. The post holder will be confident and competent in OT practice and will have the opportunity to extend skills and develop different competencies in a more specialist CAMHS role. The person will require excellent communication skills, leadership qualities and be a team player.

Training, supervision and travel

Training and support for professional development will be provided and regular supervision is available to support safe practice. There is a requirement to travel across Grampian; therefore holding a full driving licence and access to a car is essential to this post.

Rewards and interviews
