Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Forensic Rehab Ward of Royal Cornhill Hospital for an enthusiastic registered mental health nurse who is keen to enhance and develop their clinical skills in this specialist environment.

The post holder will contribute to providing high-quality, evidence-based care and support to clients experiencing a diverse range of mental health issues within the Forensic Services. They will provide care through a patient-focused approach within a therapeutic environment, underpinned by risk assessment and management to maximize the individual’s potential.

As a pivotal team member, the candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), and have a good understanding of current drivers and legislation. Forensic Rehab is a dynamic environment, and the ideal candidate should be motivated to work as part of a team supporting a positive and therapeutic culture focused on the needs of the patient group.

The duties of this post require the successful candidate to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available to successful candidates.
