We are fully committed to education, career development and excellence in the care we provide to our patients and service users. We strongly believe that your career growth is our growth.

We are currently keen to build our medical workforce across Adult Psychiatry and have the opportunity for Specialty Doctors to join our Aberdeenshire team, either in the inpatient or community setting. We are looking for doctors who have completed at least 4 years’ full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a less than full-time or flexible basis), at least two of which has been in a specialty training programme or specialty registrar locum appointment for training (LAT), or who has equivalent training, experience or competencies, either in the UK or overseas.

Candidates will be based between the Royal Cornhill Hospital site in Aberdeen and within multidisciplinary Community Mental Health teams across urban/rural areas of Aberdeenshire. There will be close working with colleagues on the Royal Cornhill Hospital site. We are also happy to discuss flexible working arrangements and accommodate special interests and career development through our range of specialist services based on the Royal Cornhill Hospital site.

Candidates will have access to a generous relocation package (please contact us for details), personal office and IT equipment and a dedicated medical secretary to support their role.

There will be involvement in the training and development of Resident Doctors, and candidates are actively encouraged to become involved in delivering medical education.

Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required. (licence to practise must be in place prior to starting in post). For more information visit www.gmc-uk.org
