An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and innovative Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to work with the Aberdeen City Integrated Drug and Alcohol Service (DAS).
This role involves the delivery of occupation-centered assessment and treatment, underpinned by a population-based, public health perspective. The post requires robust data gathering and outcome measurement aligned with an occupation-focused model.
The Aberdeen City DAS team is supportive and approachable, comprising a Consultant Psychiatrist, psychologists, community nurses, and social workers.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience working as an Occupational Therapist with marginalized communities and individuals with complex needs, including co-morbidity of health problems. An understanding of how an occupational perspective can positively impact health inequalities, health, wellbeing, and recovery from substance use issues is essential.
Applicants interested in part-time, secondment, or job share arrangements will be considered. The role requires travel; therefore, holding a full driving license is essential.
Applicants must be registered with HCPC.
An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available for successful candidates.
