Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Mental Health & Learning Disability pharmacy team as a Senior Pharmacy Technician.

This role involves delivering a busy dispensing service for in-patients and out-patients at Royal Cornhill Hospital. Responsibilities include participating in the dispensing process, including final accuracy checks, deputising for the Lead Pharmacy Technician, organizing dispensary workload, providing technical support to wards, and coordinating the dispensing and supply of clozapine. The role also involves training pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary team members.

The successful candidate will undertake medicines management activities at ward level, support medicines reconciliation, check patients' own medicines, and organize medicines supply for in-patient stays and discharges. A lead role in medicines-related audits is also expected. The position requires rotational weekend working at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
