Job summary

J D Wetherspoon is seeking a Kitchen staff member for The King’s Highway in Inverness. No experience is required, just a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You’ll work as part of a team to prepare and cook food, keeping high standards of cleanliness and safety in a busy kitchen.

The role offers flexible shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, with a 34-hour week and competitive hourly pay. Includes meal and drink on shift, discounts, and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• No experience required; willing to learn and stay calm under pressure.
• Good attitude and teamwork are valued for a busy kitchen.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the correct specification.
• Operate kitchen stations including grills, fryers and microwaves.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and customer service standards.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen and health and safety rules.
• Assist with stock rotation and kitchen clean-downs.
• Complete induction and ongoing training; support continuous improvement.
