J D Wetherspoon is recruiting for a Kitchen Team Member to prepare and cook food in a busy pub environment. You will help keep the kitchen running smoothly with a focus on cleanliness, safety and customer service.

We offer flexible shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, with opportunities to learn, train and progress within the business. No prior experience is required, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• No experience required; friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Able to work as part of a busy kitchen team and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible to work mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to spec.
• Operate kitchen stations such as grills, fryers and microwaves.
• Work as part of a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Follow hygiene, allergen, and health and safety standards.
• Clean as you go and perform kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotate stock and store food safely.
• Complete inductions and training; contribute to continuous improvement.
