Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc is hiring for a kitchen role in a pub environment. You will prepare and cook food, keep the kitchen running smoothly, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety. Shifts include mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes with flexible patterns.

No experience is required; a good attitude and willingness to learn are valued. The role offers training, progression opportunities, and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Bank account in the applicant's name.
• Ability to converse in English and understand training and duties.
• Fixed residence within reasonable travelling distance of work.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the correct spec.
• Operate kitchen work stations (grills, fryers, microwaves, etc.).
• Work as part of a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety standards.
• Clean as you go and perform full kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotate stock and store food safely.
• Complete induction and ongoing training and support improvements.
