Job summary

JD Wetherspoon Plc in Rochdale is hiring kitchen team members to prepare and cook food while keeping the kitchen clean and safe. You’ll work with a supportive team across flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

No experience needed; a positive attitude, willingness to learn and calmness under pressure are valued. The role offers opportunities for progression and a range of staff perks.

Qualifications

• Proof of right to work in the UK.
• Bank account in your own name.
• Able to converse in English and understand training duties.
• Fixed residence within reasonable travelling distance of the workplace.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the correct spec.
• Operate kitchen work stations (grills, fryers, microwaves, etc.).
• Work as part of a team to meet time and quality targets.
• Follow food hygiene, allergen, health and safety standards.
• Clean as you go and perform full kitchen clean-downs.
• Rotate stock and store food safely.
• Complete induction and ongoing training and contribute to improvements.
