Job summary

J D Wetherspoon is hiring for kitchen team members to support busy pubs across the UK. You’ll prepare and cook foods, work across kitchen stations and help keep the kitchen running smoothly with a focus on safety and cleanliness.

No experience is required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued. Training is provided, and there are options for flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Qualifications

• Have a proof of right to work
• Have a bank account in your own name
• Be able to converse in English and to understand the language to complete training and other duties associated with your job role.
• Have a fixed place of residence within reasonable travelling distance of your place of work.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec
• Operating kitchen work stations, including grills, fryers, microwaves and more
• Working as a team to keep to time and quality targets
• Following food hygiene and allergen, as well as health and safety, standards
• Cleaning as you go, including full kitchen clean-downs
• Rotating stock and storing food safely
• Completing required induction, role-specific and ongoing refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement.
