We value energetic, reliable staff with a good kitchen discipline; Level 2 Food Hygiene is required, Level 3 is a bonus. Training and opportunities to grow will be provided in a fast-paced setting.
Unit 1c/1d, The Brewery, Romford, RM1 1AU, UNITED KINGDOM
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our team and help us serve up great food alongside great days out.
This isn’t a kitchen where you’ll spend the day watching the clock. We’re a busy visitor attraction, which means energetic days, plenty of variety and a team that works together to keep things moving.
You’ll be preparing and serving delicious food, keeping our kitchen running smoothly and making sure our guests receive the quality and service they deserve.
If you take pride in what you do, love working as part of a team and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves when things get busy, we’d love to hear from you.
You’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of our kitchen, including:
Preparing, cooking and presenting great food quickly and consistently.
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, safe and ready for action.
Completing daily, weekly and monthly food safety and kitchen checks.
Managing stock rotation and supporting ordering so ingredients stay fresh and waste is kept to a minimum.
Working closely with our front-of-house team to keep service running smoothly.
Helping us spot ways to make our menus and our guests’ experience even better.
Looking after kitchen equipment and reporting any problems quickly.
Jumping in and supporting the wider team when those busy days really get going.
You don’t need to be a Michelin-starred chef. What matters most to us is that you care about doing a great job.
You’ll ideally bring:
A Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification as a minimum; Level 3 would be a bonus.
An understanding of Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH.
Allergen awareness or HACCP training would be an advantage.
Previous kitchen experience is preferred, although we’re happy to support someone with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Great organisation and time-management skills.
Clear communication and a proper team-player mentality.
Pride in keeping your workspace clean, safe and organised.
The flexibility to adapt when things change – because in our world, they often do!
Plenty of energy, resilience and a positive attitude.
Most importantly, you’ll care about the food you serve, the people you work alongside and giving our guests a brilliant experience.
Because work should have a bit of fun in it too.
You’ll be joining a friendly, hardworking team in a business where no two days are quite the same.
We offer:
Competitive pay and staff perks.
Opportunities to learn, develop and build your skills.
The chance to be part of a supportive and energetic team.
A fast-paced environment where your contribution genuinely matters.
The opportunity to play your part in creating fantastic days out for thousands of families.
We’re The Escapade Group – and we believe life is better when there’s more room to play.
We create extraordinary family attractions where children (and plenty of grown-ups!) can explore, discover, get outdoors, challenge themselves and, most importantly, have fun.
Our growing family of attractions now includes Hobbledown Adventure Farm Park & Zoo in Epsom, Hobbledown Heath Adventure Farm Park & Zoo and Gripped London in Hounslow, Kidspace indoor adventure centres in Croydon and Romford, Watermouth Castle in North Devon, and Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm in Lancashire.
Across the Group, we welcome huge numbers of families through our doors every year for unforgettable days out, celebrations, adventures and experiences.
We’re an ambitious and growing business, but what really makes our attractions special is the people behind them.
Whether someone is serving lunch, caring for animals, running an attraction, hosting a birthday party or welcoming a family through the gates, we all have a part to play in creating a brilliant day out.
