Job summary

Premier Inn Blackburn South is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to help prepare, cook and plate meals for guests. You'll work as part of a team across breakfast and dinner services, with 30 contracted hours per week and a permanent contract.

No hotel experience is required; you could come from supermarkets, cafés or hospitality. We value reliability, teamwork and a can-do attitude; training is provided to help you progress in Premier Inn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients before service starts.
• Cook and plate meals during breakfast and dinner service.

• Help make sure every meal leaves the kitchen looking right.
• This isn't a role where you’ll spend your shift hidden in the back washing up.

Kitchen Team Member – Blackburn South (M65, J4) Premier Inn

This isn’t just about cooking.

You’ll help prepare, cook and serve meals that become part of someone’s stay at Premier Inn because a good meal can make a great stay even better.

One minute you could be preparing breakfast before guests wake up. The next you’ll be helping the team through a busy dinner service.

Pay, hours and location

Pay: Up to £13.06 per hour

Contract:Permanent – we don’t do zero-hours contracts.

Hours:30 contracted hours per week.

Location: Blackburn South (M65, J4) Premier Inn , Riversway Drive, Eccles Hall Road, Lower Darwen, Blackburn, BB3 0SN

Shifts:Includes evenings, weekends and busy guest periods.

What you’ll do

As a Kitchen Team Member you’ll help make sure every guest gets a meal they’ll enjoy. You’ll:

• Prepare ingredients before service starts

You’ll be part of a team that’s working together to deliver the meals our guests rely on.

You don’t need hotel experience

Some of our best Kitchen Team Members joined us from supermarkets, cafés, pubs, restaurants, warehouses and customer service jobs.

If you’re willing to learn, we’ll teach you the rest.

You might have worked as a:

• Catering Assistant
• Barista
• Kitchen Porter
• Retail Assistant
• Warehouse Operative

This could be your first kitchen job or you may have worked in hospitality before.

What matters most is that you're reliable, enjoy working with others and don’t mind rolling your sleeves up when things get busy.
