Job summary

Whitbread's Premier Inn Norwich East is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader to run the kitchen, manage rotas, place food orders and guide the team through busy services. You’ll work closely with the Hotel Manager and take full ownership of the kitchen, from food quality to hygiene, building hands-on leadership for a future Head Chef role.

You’ll own food ordering, stock control and cost management, lead during service, and ensure the team delivers meals to spec while maintaining health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and managing rotas.
• Experience in food service, kitchen operations or hospitality.
• Willing to work weekends and flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

• Own food ordering, stock control and keeping food costs on track for the hotel.
• Take the lead during service - organising the team, managing workflow, and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Prepare, cook, and serve menu items to spec - from breakfasts to pub classics.
• Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards are met and records kept up to date.
• Step up when needed - running shifts and helping new team members settle in.
• Develop kitchen management knowledge for future senior roles.

We're currently recruiting in our Norwich East (Broadlands/A47) Premier Inn. Working 30 hours per week, paying up to £14.31 per hour.

Kitchen Team Leader – Norwich East (Broadlands/A47) Premier Inn

Join our team at Premier Inn Norwich East (Broadlands/A47) as a Kitchen Team Leader and move your Chef career forward. You’ll run the kitchen day to day – managing rotas, placing food orders, leading the team through busy services, and keeping everything audit-ready. Working closely with your Hotel Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the kitchen – from food quality to hygiene. It’s a hands on leadership role that’s perfect for anyone ready to build the skills to become a Head Chef.
