Job summary

Stonegate Group seeks a Kitchen Team Leader at Hyde Park Hotel in Leeds. You will coach and mentor the kitchen team, uphold high standards of food knowledge and safety, and drive the brigade forward to deliver quality dishes for guests.

Responsibilities include assisting with food prep, stock control, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and compliant with Kitchen safety standards. A proactive attitude and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team and training staff.
• Strong food knowledge and ability to ensure quality dishes.
• Up-to-date COSHH, food safety and health & safety knowledge.
• Willingness to develop personally and drive team progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the kitchen team in absence of Kitchen Manager.
• Prepare and produce high-quality dishes to spec for guests.
• Assist with stock, ordering and supplies management.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygienic standards at all times.
• Offer ideas to improve kitchen performance and hit targets.

Are you a Kitchen Team Leader or an experienced Kitchen Team Member who is ready to take the next step. As a Kitchen Team Leader you will play a pivotal role in our business success, whilst there will be an opportunity to develop your skills to enhance your career.

As a Kitchen Team Leader, do you have…

• The ability to assist in supporting, coaching, and mentoring your team
• A high standard of food knowledge and skill
• An up-to-date COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal knowledge
• A willingness to develop on a personal level whilst also helping propel the brigade forward at Hyde Park Hotel

Some of the things you will be doing as a Kitchen Team Leader

• Assist in food preparation and collaborate with the Kitchen Manager
• Produce high-quality dishes consistently to specification for our guests
• Oversee and supervise the kitchen team in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Assist with stock management, ordering and management of supplies.
• Ensure the kitchen is in an excellent, clean and hygienic condition at all times.
• Offer suggestions and creative ideas that can improve the kitchen’s performance.
• lead the team to achieve company targets.
