Job summary

The Knights Templar in Bristol, part of J D Wetherspoon, is looking for Kitchen staff. You’ll work as part of a busy team to prepare and cook food, keep the kitchen clean, and ensure high standards of safety and service.

No experience is needed, just a good attitude and willingness to learn. We offer a competitive rate (£12.91 per hour), flexible shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, a free meal and a drink on shift, staff discounts, and the chance to progress within a nationwide pub

Responsibilities

• preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec
• operating kitchen work stations including grills, fryers and microwaves
• working as a team to meet time and quality targets
• following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety standards
• cleaning as you go and performing full kitchen clean-downs
• rotating stock and storing food safely
• completing induction, role-specific and refresher training and contributing to continuous improvement

The role

At a glance, your role is to work as part of a team to prepare and cook food and to help to keep the kitchen running smoothly, all while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and customer service.

Our pubs open early and close late, so we offer great flexibility with shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.

Duties Include

• preparing, cooking and presenting food to the correct spec
