Job summary

System Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation of professional kitchens in restaurants and hotels. The role covers design, procurement, site coordination and commissioning across Northern England and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will have strong M&E knowledge and Health & Safety experience, with proven ability to manage surveys, risk assessments and vendor relations. Remote-based with regional travel and home-based flexibility.

Qualifications

• Background in project management for large-scale kitchen installations.
• Experience with equipment specs, drawings, and purchase orders.
• Strong site coordination and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of risk assessments and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Checking equipment specifications, design and services drawings, and equipment purchase orders.
• Approval of specialist contractors' manufacturing drawings.
• Handling of design or equipment variations and extras.
• Attendance at necessary site meetings (in person or via Teams/Zoom).
• Producing or coordinating risk assessments and method statements.
• Carrying out surveys and site dimensions, checking site access and progress before delivery of catering equipment.
• Supervising installation and commissioning of kitchen and servery equipment.
• Drawing up snags and defects lists and ensuring timely completion.
• Checking Job Costings and addressing variations with suppliers.
