Kitchen Porter - ExCel London

We're currently recruiting a dedicated Kitchen Porter to help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen at ExCel London on a full time basis, contracted to 40 hours per week.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will use your skills to maintain a high standard of customer care and cleanliness. In return, you will have the chance to progress your career with a company that invests in its people, celebrates individuality, and rewards and recognises employees.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and sterilising countertops, kitchen walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks, and equipment
• Cleaning the kitchen once it’s closed to ensure it’s ready for the next day
• Maintaining the food storage areas including freezers and refrigerators
• Washing of dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, etc.
• Follow all Health and Safety requirements
• Follow all company and statutory policies and procedures
• Waste management
• Weekly cleaning of all grease traps
• Ensure proper use of recycling & food waste systems
• Correct usage of both waste rooms
• Supporting the Chef in food preparation and providing assistance as needed
• Ensure good communication and maintain professional relationships with peers
