Job Description:

Description: Berry Recruitment is currently hiring for a committed and experienced Temp to Perm Kitchen Porter for a Medical Laboratory in Witney, Oxfordshire.

Role: Temp to Perm Kitchen Porter

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Pay Rate: £12.00 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday (08:00 – 16:00)

Key Responsibilities of the Kitchen Porter:
  • Ensuring all food hygiene regulations are adhered to, particularly HACCP regulations.
  • Checking in food deliveries to ensure only the highest quality produce is accepted.
  • Ensuring food storage complies with hygiene regulations and F.I.F.O stock rotation is followed.
  • Cleaning duties related to service and equipment.
  • Preparing service areas and points.
  • Proper storage of food items and equipment after service.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform according to company standards.
  • Supporting the company’s health and safety policies.
  • Monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures.
  • Assisting in other kitchen tasks during quieter periods.
  • Reporting safety hazards to the line manager.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to ensure departmental smooth operation.
About you:
  • Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or food service role.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
  • Good communication skills for safety reporting and teamwork.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to undertake various tasks.
  • Understanding of proper hygiene and uniform standards in food service.
