Job summary

Mount Charles Group in Northern Ireland is hiring a Kitchen Porter to support our busy catering operation. You will soak, pre-wash and wash all food and beverage equipment, keep areas clean, and assist the team to ensure smooth service.

We value teamwork, basic food hygiene, and a proactive approach to HACCP standards. The role is 32 hours per week with agreed shifts, offering an opportunity to develop within a family‑oriented business.

Qualifications

• Basic food hygiene certificate required.
• Previous food handling experience preferred.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Able to communicate effectively with the team.
• Good organisational skills.
• Knowledge of HACCP regulations is desirable.
• Basic reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for safety instructions.

Responsibilities

• Soak, pre-wash and wash all food and beverage operating equipment to standard.
• Keep clean equipment on assigned shelving.
• Maintain hygiene of dishwashing area and floors.
• Assist in smooth running of catering operation.
• Comply with health, safety and HACCP standards.
• Report any damaged equipment or safety issues.
