At Next, we have a great opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy catering team at our Head Office in Leicestershire. Working within our onsite restaurant, you will play an important role supporting the business to ensure that all deliveries arrive in acceptable condition and to maintain high cleanliness and health and safety standards within the kitchen. This is a part-time position working from 11am to 3pm.

You will:

1. Ensure that all deliveries arrive in acceptable condition and at the correct temperature.
2. Put away deliveries on arrival and store correctly, complying with all health & safety regulations.
3. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety within the kitchen and restaurant areas.
4. Ensure all deliveries are put away in stock rotation safely without risk to others and efficiently.
5. Wash all pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to a high standard.
6. Maintain the cleanliness of dishwashers and ensure they are sanitized and kept free from harmful bacteria.
7. Empty rubbish bins and remove other waste at regular intervals to keep floors clear of hazards.
8. Complete daily laundry and replenish clean cloths as needed.
9. Report any equipment breakages as they occur.
10. Comply with quality and safety standards at all times.
11. Ensure that all windows and doors are locked at the end of each shift and return keys to security.

About you:

• Have previous experience in a similar environment.
• Are an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
• Take initiative and make suggestions for improvements.
• Are able to prioritize your own work to meet deadlines.
