Job description

Contract: Part Time , Permanent
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Hours: 30 per week

An independent primary school for children aged 4 - 11 years old, located in Shenley, Hertfordshire. Catering for 450 students and teachers daily. We offer a core feeding of morning and afternoon snacks and lunch with a small hospitality offering. This is a term-time only contract working 38 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit to this location is free on site parking.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our established & friendly team at our prestigious location in Radlett.

You'll be playing a big part in keeping the kitchen hygienic, safe, and up to our very high standards of cleanliness.

  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
  • Great team player
  • Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness at all times
  • Clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
  • Clean allocated pieces of heavy catering equipment using instructions and cleaning materials including air filter and extraction systems.
  • Operate industrial dishwasher

We are looking for:

  • Kitchen Porter experience is preferred, but not essential.
  • Organisation Skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred
