Overview

We are looking for a Part Time Kitchen Porter to join the team in our Restaurant in Garforth Garden Centre.

As a Kitchen Porter, you will provide a critical service to both our front and back of house operation ensuring a constant supply of clean crockery, cutlery and equipment. You will be trained in the safe operation of the pot wash equipment and take responsibility for a productive and clean work area.

Responsibilities
  • Process all cutlery and crockery through the dishwasher.
  • Dispose of waste using appropriate recycling bins.
  • Avoid breakages and ensure crockery and dishes are cleaned properly before use.
  • Maintain cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
  • Close down the kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.
Qualifications
  • Passion for high standards of cleanliness.
  • Understanding of food hygiene requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Great teamwork.
  • Hardworking and shift flexibility including weekends.
