Job summary

Marriott Leicester is seeking a dedicated team member to support our kitchen operations and guest service standards in a fast-paced hotel environment.

You will clean and sanitise kitchen areas, wash dishes, receive deliveries, and assist with basic food preparation, while upholding safety and quality expectations. Previous customer service experience is valued, and training is provided to develop your career in hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Able to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise kitchen areas including countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, and sinks.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment or load them into the dishwasher.
• Maintain food storage areas such as freezers and refrigerators, ensuring they are clean and organized.
• Receive and organise deliveries of food and supplies.
• Dispose of kitchen waste properly and ensure trash containers are clean.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks like peeling, cutting, and washing ingredients.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff by taking on additional tasks as needed.
• Ensure cooking equipment such as mixers and cookers are clean and in working order.
