Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton Chester Hotel & Spa is seeking a hardworking Kitchen Porter on an occasional worker casual basis. The role focuses on keeping the kitchen clean, organized and sanitary, with duties including dishwashing, equipment cleaning and basic food preparation support.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, mopping, and wiping surfaces
• Assist with the preparation of ingredients and support the chefs during food preparation
• Handle and store food in accordance with safety and hygiene regulations
• Maintain the inventory of kitchen supplies and inform the management team when items are low in stock
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that food is prepared and delivered promptly and according to standards
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Dispose of waste properly and recycle whenever possible
