Village Hotels Ashton is seeking a Kitchen Porter to be the backbone of our busy kitchen. You’ll manage heavy lifting, dominate the dish pit, check deliveries, and ensure the brigade has what they need to keep service moving.

You’ll handle cleaning chemicals safely under COSHH rules, support the brigade, store equipment properly and act as the vital link that keeps the service flowing on fast-paced shifts.

Responsibilities

• The Engine Room: clean all equipment and crockery to keep the kitchen ready for chefs.
• The Standards: handle cleaning chemicals safely under COSHH, control waste, maintain hygiene.
• The Backbone: fetch and carry food, store equipment, support the brigade to keep service flowing.
• The Deliveries: check in deliveries, verify invoices to ensure accuracy and value.
