Job summary

Village Hotels Ashton is seeking a Kitchen Porter to keep the kitchen moving during busy shifts. You’ll dominate the dish pit, support the brigade, and ensure deliveries and stock are handled efficiently so chefs never wait.

You will work safely with cleaning chemicals under COSHH, manage waste, and help maintain the highest hygiene standards. The role offers practical hands-on work in a bustling hotel kitchen and opportunities to grow with the team.

Responsibilities

• The Engine Room: Dominating the dish pit and cleaning all equipment and crockery so the kitchen never stops when a chef is waiting.
• The Standards: Safely handling cleaning chemicals per COSHH, controlling waste, and maintaining top hygiene.
• The Backbone: Supporting the brigade by fetching and carrying food, storing equipment, and keeping service flowing.
• The Deliveries: Checking in deliveries per SOPs and validating invoices to ensure accuracy of orders.
