Job Objective

To ensure that all equipment, crockery, cutlery, and glassware are washed and stored correctly, and to maintain the hygiene of the wash-up/kitchen area.

Job Description

Location: 10 Paradise Walk

Example shift patterns include: 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm on weekends; 3pm or 5pm-10pm in evenings.

About The Role

• Wash, dry, and store crockery, cutlery, and glassware properly.
• Clean pots, pans, and equipment, and store them correctly.
• Carry out cleaning duties as per standard procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of refuse areas and regularly empty kitchen bins.
• Be aware of hazardous substances, wear protective clothing, and follow safety instructions.
• Follow management or chef requests as appropriate.
• Participate in training and performance improvement activities.
• Wear a clean, suitable uniform at all times, maintaining high personal hygiene and grooming standards.
• Observe all health and safety regulations.
• Uphold the company's equal opportunities policy to ensure a neutral working environment.
• Keep staff and work areas tidy and safe; report hazards, accidents, or damages to management.

Skills Needed

• At least 6 months experience as a kitchen porter.

Required Criteria

• Right to work in the UK.
• Good understanding of the English language.
